2023 Forest Council

Thank you to all our sponsors and individuals who attended our 31st Annual Heartwood Forest Council at Camp Rivervale in Indiana this recent Memorial Day weekend. We deeply appreciate everyone's participation to make it such a beautiful and successful weekend. We hope you had a wonderful time. The camaraderie, inspiration, and direction gained from the speakers, our member groups, and others attending will serve as a catalyst of good energy and substance for our upcoming work protecting the places we love. The spectacular weather and giant trees towering all around us added to the magic of the weekend.

For those who attended, we are preparing a follow-up Resource Package, a compilation of all the contacts and some of the links and resources the speakers and presenters provided for us this weekend. Look for that to be available soon, to be sent to all participants via email. Please also join our Issues email discussion list (issues@heartwood.org) and follow us on Facebook. Lastly, make sure you are on our US Postal Service mailing address list so that you can get your copy of Heartbeat, our twice-a-year newspaper that we produce as an organizing tool for activists and advocates across the region.

And please plan to attend the Heartwood Reunion the first weekend of October. Watch for more information about that as it develops.
