Camp Oyo is located in the heart of the Shawnee State Forest in south central Ohio off of State Route 125. State Route 125 runs all the way west to Cincinnati, but dead ends in the east at US 52 west of Portsmouth, Ohio. Most people will come through Portsmouth to get here. Camp Oyo is located on the northside of SR 125 (on Shawnee Forest Road 1) about half way between SR125's eastern end and the road that goes to the Shawnee State Park lodge and offices. You can MapQuest the Shawnee State Park Office (4404 State Route 125, Portsmouth, OH 45663) and know this would place you about 3 miles west of Camp Oyo. If you are coming from the west on SR 125, Camp Oyo would be on your left, just past Roosevelt Lake. If you are coming from the east, look for the Camp Oyo sign on your right immediately after you pass the other part of Forest Road 1 which goes off to your left.

The nearest hotels are in Portsmouth, about 20 minutes away.  All State Park lodge rooms are filled for Memorial Day weekend.
